He's Trained Kate, Jennifer, LL Cool J and Says Doing Just One Thing Will Help You Get Fit

October 2, 2017

In this age of P90X, Insanity and Soul Cycle we're living in, it seems like if you want to have a slammin' body you have to exercise until you can't breathe or walk anymore, right? WRONG --- according to fitness trainer to the stars, Harley Pasternak. He says what you need to do to improve your fitness level is "hitting your steps." And 12,000 is the recommendation. After that, make sure your getting enough sleep and after that, focus on your nutrition plan.

Harley says there's nothing you can do to make up for not getting your steps in during the day. And he's quick to set the example for you.

How are you getting your steps today? @fitbit

When you get a step tracker you may be shocked to learn how few steps you're actually getting in your everyday life. I know that if I don't make a point of getting outside for a walk around the hood, there's no way I'm going to make it to 10,000 steps. And remember, Harley's recommendation is 12,000! He says it's as simple as getting on a treadmill and going at your own pace to walk and move. Best of all he's not a fan of these extreme approaches to fitness like P90X and that other stuff all over your Insta feed. Harley says, "I train 50 of the most amazing bodies in the world, and none of them do that.” Suddenly fitness feels possible, right?

And when you do feel ready to tackle your nutrition, he's got some simple suggestions to share on that topic as well.
