Everyone fails at work sometimes, so deal with it like Tiffany Haddish did

January 2, 2019

Tiffany Haddish performed in Miami on New Year's Eve and it was not her best work. She was heckled and people walked out.

But she's not making excuses for having an off night or trying to blame anyone except herself. Tiffany is owning her failure all the way, just like a grown up.

At some point we all fail at things, even things we do really well and there's nothing that feels good about that. But acknowledging what happened is powerful and can even feel liberating. There's always growth and learning that comes from struggles like this and while you're grateful for it in the end, it doesn't mean you enjoy it while it's happening.

And Tiffany knows she's not alone. Comedians are especially vulnerable to bad days at work and quite a few showed up to support her.

Not the end of the world. Not by a long shot. But it can feel that way in the moment, right? So try to remember that the next time you fail big at something, that it happens to everyone because we're not perfect. And it's totally okay.
