What Deshaun Watson Did With His First Game Check Will Melt Your Heart

September 29, 2017

The new rookie quarterback for the Texans has ignited hope and excitement in the hearts of fans who haven't felt that for quite a while. Watch him in a game even for just a litttle bit and the first things you'll notice is his speed. He's so fast -- dodging and running around players who are diving for him and catching nothing but dirt -- Tom Brady admitted even he was envious.  And to make things even better, he is all heart.

Deshaun gave his first NFL game check to three women who work in the cafeteria at NRG Stadium. All three of their homes were hit hard by Hurricane Harvey and Deshaun wanted to help. So he presented each of them with a white envelope tied with a red ribbon.

I want to hug him, too! That's $27,353 split 3 ways. Real money that's going to make a real difference in the families of these women. In case you didn't know, when Deshaun was 11 years old he and his family were the recipients of a house built by Habitat for Humanity. He learned early on how important it is to help another when you can.
